What is high-tech?
The adoption of high technology in our everyday lives has grown in leaps and bounds over the last decade. At the recent Shanghai Futures Exposition in China, the world’s largest futures market for commodities, it was reported that 56% of China’s population will be using mobile phones in the next five years. And in the US, only a small proportion of people do not have access to high-speed internet or have their email addresses. In contrast, when you consider that only 6% of people in Canada have access to the internet and that only about 15% of Chinese use it, there’s clearly a huge disparity. Technology is one of the most valuable economic and development drivers.
The evolution of technology?
With advances in technology, there is an increase in data and complexity, which causes the risk that technology is more susceptible to cyber-attacks. Recently, experts in this field have proposed several theories for the increase in cyber-attacks, such as the demand for machine learning and the complex needs of the customers. In the following excerpt of this series, the author will share with you his views on the future of technology. Over the past few years, with the release of various technological innovations, we have seen an increasing demand for artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and big data. In the next 10 years, as these technologies continue to be developed, I think we will see an increase in the amount of data being processed exponentially.
How high-tech is changing?
High technology, especially when combined with cutting-edge healthcare and facilities, is enabling very specialized treatments, which offer patients and their families a greatly enhanced standard of care. High tech has evolved and continues to do so. We find that people like to compare the area they’re operating in at the time to say two years earlier or four years before, but then two years ago, there were still many patients coming out of the clinic having been treated for things like asthma or asthma heart attacks. Technology is now so advanced that more and more people can be diagnosed at home and then go and receive treatment there and then because the treatment and monitoring are so close to the patient’s bedside.
What does the future of high-tech look like?
While there is a trend towards technology being accessible through any available source such as mobile phones and the internet, the big players in the high-tech world are still innovating and focusing on the next big step in technology. The best example is the field of artificial intelligence (AI), which has already been adopted by Microsoft, Google, IBM, and Amazon. AI is also beginning to infiltrate consumer technology products like televisions, smartphones, and cars. Though not as widely accepted, another form of high-tech called the Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a huge part of our lives. IoT involves the development of smart machines and the physical environment that is surrounded by them.
You don’t have to look much farther than your TV set to see the effect of both smart and dumb technology. However, the most exciting advances in innovation are in the area of technology that will be the most effective for improving the health of our planet and the human race in the future.
